What is Petra?
Petra is a security platform that helps you monitor and protect your Microsoft 365 environment. It watches for threats like phishing, compromised accounts, and suspicious activity across your organization's Microsoft 365 tenants and gives you clear ways to investigate and fix issues.
What Petra does for you
Petra continuously monitors your Microsoft 365 data and alerts you when something looks wrong. You can see and investigate security incidents in one place, understand what was affected (which emails, files, or users), take recommended actions to contain and fix issues, and review reports and trends to improve your security posture.
Whether you manage one organization or many customers as an MSP, Petra is designed to give you clear visibility and control over Microsoft 365 security without requiring you to be a security expert.
Key capabilities
Petra detects when user accounts may be compromised, when phishing emails have been opened or acted on, when risky or malicious apps have been granted access, and when unusual or suspicious activity occurs in your tenants. For each finding, you get context: which user was involved, what was accessed or sent, and what steps are recommended to remediate.
You can configure how and where you're notified (email, webhooks, or other channels), so your team can respond quickly. For organizations that want ongoing monitoring, Petra can run continuously; for those that want a one-time look back, an Autopsy report analyzes historical data and delivers a client-ready report.
Who it's for
Petra is built for organizations that use Microsoft 365 and want better visibility into security events, as well as for managed service providers (MSPs) who need to monitor multiple customer tenants from a single place. The product focuses on clarity and action: showing you what happened, what was impacted, and what to do next.
